Arma Twice as Nice Variety
Betty
Dehn and Virginia Williams thought it would be a good idea to have a place to
sell “treasures”. So, in July of 2012 they started cleaning and remodeling the
old Chat and Chew Restaurant located at 301 N. West, across from the grade
school. After many long hours of hard work, Arma Twice as Nice Variety opened
on the 7th of September, 2012. On the 7th of September,
2013 they had an anniversary celebration in order to thank
those whom had shopped our store and helped make it a success.
The “treasures” include: restored furniture, jewelry, cut glass, milk glass and other beautiful knick knacks, collectables, baby items, shoes all sizes, hand bags and clothing.
We also thought it would be nice to have a place for people to bring their “treasures” to sell. Therefore we opened our huge empty lot, as a swap meet, every Friday and Saturday. For $5.00 per vehicle, you provide your own tables, or selling out of your vehicle. When gardening season came, we thought it would be nice to provide a place for you to sell your fruits and vegetables, thus starting our Farmer’s Market on Fridays 9 a.m. to noon, for the same $5.00 charge. So all in all we have provided three avenues in which to show case people’s “treasures”: our big, nice freshly remodeled building, a swap meet, and a farmer’s market.
