Arma Homecoming planned
ARMA -- The Arma Homecoming Committee is making final preparations for the upcoming homecoming, which will be held Aug. 9, 10 and 11. Theme this year will be "Proud to Be an American." This will be the 56th year for the event.

Numerous activities are planned for the weekend.

Arma/Northeast Alumni reunion will be held Aug. 9. Classes to be honored include the class of 1952 for its 50th anniversary, class of 1977 for its 25th anniversary and the NEHS class of 2002.

A horsepull is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 behind the Arma City Ball Park.

Homecoming parade will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 10. Beth's Batoners will perform before the parade.

After the parade will be mud volleyball, children's games, homecoming dinner, car show, sidewalk art, arts and crafts booths, concessions, women's games, horseshoe pitching, antique and classic tractor pull, a spaghetti feed at the Arma American Legion Hall and a street dance.

A bocci tournament will be held Aug. 11. Also planned are 3 on 3 basketball, a fishing derby for children 14 and younger, gospel singing, junior bathing contest, 'N Motion dance group from Girard, and music from Curtis Benelli, DJ. Activities will conclude with the grand prize drawing at 9 p.m.

Toby's Amusement Co. will be present during the weekend. Bracelet night will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9 and 11.

Tickets: $15 per person and include banquet meal catered by Chicken Mary's and dance.

Anyone wishing to attend the dance only may do so at $5 per person. This year "OUTTA THE ROOM PRODUCTIONS" will be providing all eras of music for our entertainment and dancing. The DJ will also take special requests.

If alumni are not able to attend the banquet and dance we ask for a donation to the Alumni Association. This will allow us to continue to provide two $500 scholarships to our graduating seniors.

Arma alumni plan reunion
ARMA -- The Arma-Northeast Alumni Association will have its annual alumni banquet and dance Aug. 9 at Mirza Temple, Pittsburg.
This year's program will have a patriotic theme.

A social hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.

Dancing will follow until 11:30 p.m., with music provided by Dennis Jamison, Outta the Room Productions. A variety of music will be played, and requests will be taken by the DJ. Anyone wishing to attend the dance only may pay $5 at the door.

A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
