SCHOOLS

Arma hosts Unified School District 246, the Northeast Vikings.  This includes K-8 in a well-maintained and fully equipped, computerized elementary/junior high building.  The building also houses a modern cafeteria/lunchroom which is used occasionally for fund-raising purposes by different community organizations.  The high school, 9th through 12th grades, is located on another site.  It too is in excellent condition and fully equipped.  Athletic fields and facilities are modern and well maintained.  The schools are wired for interactive learning and are fully paid for.

Viking Alumni......let us help you stay in touch.

by Randy Rivers

With the launch of the Northeast web site (link above), we are establishing a section for our alumni.  As we develop this site, you'll be able to come to this section and see your old senior pictures.  We would also like to have a current picture of you to put with the senior photo. (Before & After). Additionally, if you want to provide contact information, send whatever you want us to post, email address, MSN messenger or AIM screen names, the URL of your blog, or simple stuff like your address and phone number.  We want to provide a tool that will facilitate improved communication among Northeast High Alums.  Although Northeast High alumni information will be our priority project, we will also accept information from the old Arma, Mulberry and Arcadia high school classes.  If there is anyone out there who would like to help us with this project, please drop me a note at rrivers@usd246.org.  We are also willing to listen to your suggestions.  Class officers may call to get instructions for using this site to make reunion announcements as well.

Memories of School in Arma
My mother, Enid Frogue Dechario, was the music teacher in the school in the late 20s and early 30s before the depression.
